It is. Twelve months since we talked like this.

是啊。离我们这样聊天已经十二个月了。

I started one on New Year's Day.

我新年第一天开始写的。

Week one was fine. Week two, not so much.

第一周还行。第二周就不怎么样了。

Learn to cook, read twenty books, run twice a week.

学做饭、读二十本书、每周跑两次步。

That is why I stopped. The list was a clock.

所以我不列了。清单成了一座钟。

I woke up and planned the whole day, hour by hour.

我醒来就把整天一小时一小时地规划好。

I don't. I felt behind every evening.

我不喜欢。每天晚上都觉得落后。

I keep only one thing: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, running.

我只保留一件事：周一、周三、周五跑步。

I read after lunch. Half an hour.

我午饭后读。半小时。

It is. This year I want fewer hours and more time.

是的。今年我想要更少的钟点，更多的时间。

She did say it. She said it every October.

她确实说过。她每年十月都说。

When the clocks went back. "An hour more," she said.

当时钟往回拨的时候。她会说：“多一个小时。”

Mostly nothing. That is the point.

基本什么都不做。重点就在这儿。

You can sleep. Or watch the rain.

你可以睡觉。或者看雨。

Because you don't know what to do with it?

因为不知道该拿它做什么？

You won't. Time is not a race.

不会的。时间不是赛跑。

Tell it to you. What would you do with a free Sunday?

跟你自己说。如果周日有空，你会做什么？

And then?

And that would be a good day?

那样就是美好的一天？

Then the year is already a success.

那这一年已经算成功了。
